With the monumental Fallout 4 reveal at Bethesda’s E3 conference and then the subsequent reveal at Microsoft's E3 conference, that PC mods will be available for the Xbox One version of
the game, it’s leaving some to question whether or not this feature will come to the
PlayStation 4.
Everybody’s favourite developer guy, Todd Howard came out on the Microsoft
stage to reveal free PC mods coming to the Xbox One version of Fallout 4. It now becomes increasingly clear why Bethesda were trying to charge for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim mods
on Steam, before it backfired in their face and they had to reverse the idea…
Either way this has a lot of Sony gamers worried that the
feature will never come to the PS4. In short interview on the YouTube live stream
Todd Howard announced that the Fallout 4 Creation Kit. Similar to the one that
Bethesda made for Skyrim, it will be releasing sometime after the game launches, allowing PC players
to start developing Mods. He then stated that he, “...hopes the feature can
come to PS4 too...”.
After the Creation Kit has been released to PC players and
modding can begin, the Xbox One gamers will have a short wait before it becomes available
to them. It’s not clear how many mods or what type of mods you can install; whether it can be any mod or just verified mods by Microsoft/Bethesda, perhaps through
Bethesda’s new Bethesda.Net. Either way the feature will not be there at launch.
#Fallout4 mod sharing (from PC) coming after launch to Xbox One in early 2016. We hope to bring it to PS4, too. #BE3

Bethesda Game Studio’s official Twitter account announced
that the PC mods will be coming to the Xbox One in 2016, but did not give a
specific date. They then repeated Todd Howard by stating that “We hope to bring
it to PS4, too.” but again, no official yes or no answer was given, nor a date but
it seems like this feature is not exclusive to the Xbox One.
