Knights of the Eternal Throne ‘Betrayed’ Trailer and Details

Valkorion’s line continues to tear itself apart in Star Wars: The Old Republic’s latest cinematic trailer, ‘Betrayed’, for the upcoming Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion. Details and Fallen Empire spoilers within!

Star Wars: The Old Republic Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion betrayed senya

As with last year’s ‘Sacrifice’, the trailer portrays the warped upbringing of Zakuul’s premier children, this time focusing on Senya, the mother, and her daughter Vaylin.

Focusing on what was easily the strongest narrative thread and characters of the Knights of the Fallen Empire, that of mother and warped children, is of course gratifying if not surprising, given how Fallen Empire ended. The reveal of Senya as mother of Arcann, Thexan, and Vaylin, and wife of Emperor Valkorion/Vitiate – who is stuck in the player character’s head at the time – was an effective one, and the strife is set to continue. Here’s the expansion’s description:
“…Be the Outlander and command a team of hand-picked allies as you face one of the most dangerous families in Star Wars. Mother against daughter. Sister against brother. It’s a fight for control of the throne. You decide who will live, who will die and who will rule the galaxy. Fight to influence the galaxy for the light or dark side of the Force!”
Eternal Throne will feature only nine chapters, to Fallen Empire’s sixteen, and it doesn’t look like they will release episodically, though there has been no official announcement – I fully recommend checking out this Dulfy article for further details. The expansion will once again raise the level cap by five, and be set on two planets.

Star Wars: The Old Republic Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion chapters

There will be a Galactic Command system starting a level 70, allowing players to take part in ‘Uprisings’, some kind of four player group content, for influence and, “the most powerful rewards”. Furthermore any story chapter or, “battle” can be played at Story, Veteran, or Master difficulty mode.

Star Wars: The Old Republic Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion preorder bonus
